Rugrats is coming back – but will a CGI remake ruin it?

Fireman Sam, Bob the Builder and Peter Rabbit have all fallen victim to the scourge of bad computer animation. Will Nickelodeon’s remake be any different?First the good news: Rugrats, the charming 90s toddler-based animated series, is coming back. According to Variety, Nickelodeon has ordered 26 new episodes and a film. And now the bad news: at least some of it will be CGI.The Rugrats film will apparently be live-action with CGI characters, just like the Yogi Bear film or the Alvin and the Chipmunks films or the Garfield films. Even though the charm of the original Rugrats was how wobbly and hand-drawn it looked.
