In a race against two other candidates, Ben Simons won 41% of the vote and is now charged to represent the roughly 1,000 residents in his hometown Yoncalla, Oregon. According to KEZI, the local ABC news affiliate, Simons graduated last June as his high school’s valedictorian and has worked as both a city councilor and volunteer firefighter.
